Consultant Ian Bull BTP DMS MRTPI is a Chartered Town Planner with 34 years experience. To start with, Ian worked for 16 years in planning departments at both County and District level. He worked in both forward planning and development control and appeared as expert witness at numerous public inquiries.

This was followed by 10 years with a national house builder in charge of project management for many major strategic sites through emerging structure and local plans. During this time Ian also negotiated option agreements and instructed professional teams and gave evidence at a wide range of public inquiries. Between 1999 and 2005, Ian was Group Strategic Land Director for a national house building company responsible for identifying, securing and promoting strategic land through the planning system.

Since 2005, Ian has been a consultant to John Bishop and Associates and has quickly built up an impressive list of clients and is involved in residential, retail and commercial developments throughout the south east.
