RICS Homebuyer Survey and Valuation – This service is delivered in accordance with the Home Survey standard (1st edition) RICS professional statement and is equivalent to level two. In addition, this service has the following particular features
The general condition of the main elements of a property
A visual inspection of the building, its services and grounds (including roof spaces, basements and cellars) but without commissioning specific tests
The likelihood of repairs and their cost implications together with reccomendations for further investigations if necessary
The current open market value
An insurance value
The Homebuyer Survey and Valuation report is provided in a standard form created by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – logical in sequence and easy to follow. A level two survey is not appropriate for a unique or historic property or a property built before 1850.
